Il Cascinotto

Ricordano probabilmente scene di altre realtà, dove purtroppo la sofferenza degli animali, privati di spazi, attenzione e dignità, è la costante.

Ricordo che una volta trovai un’anziana signora che piangeva dopo aver girato a lungo per il rifugio. Era un pianto fitto e sommesso; mi avvicinai fino a prenderla sottobraccio e cercai di rincuorarla dicendole che i cani erano tenuti bene e che almeno con noi avevano smesso di soffrire e correre rischi. Fu allora che il pianto si interruppe e la signora, con molta dolcezza mi spiegò sussurrando e quasi scusandosi: “Lo so, lo vedo bene, amico mio. Sto piangendo di gioia perché era da mesi che avrei voluto venire a trovarvi ed avevo paura di vedere gli occhi disperati di cani abbandonati e sofferenti. Com’è bello, invece, capire che mi ero sbagliata e mi sono convinta che anzi avrei dovuto venire prima, per fare la mia parte, per aiutarvi. State facendo una cosa importantissima.
..pensare che siete un’associazione di volontari…”.
